Feckenham Road - Amen, amen, amen - Anon
When my wife and I first met, in 1995, we rented a house out on Feckenham Road, just opposite the Archers Pub. We were well settled within a few weeks and all was calm. One night, I had just finished work, walked into the living room and sat down to watch the television. My wife was in the kitchen and I thought I heard her say something. As I turned to speak to her, I man was stood by the kitchen door then disappeared. I got up to go and went into the kitchen and saw my wife stood there in shock, she had seen him too! As we went into the living room we saw him again, this time stood by the front door. We would see this man on a regular basis but we got used to it. We were lying in bed one night and suddenly we went cold, we were facing the built in wardrobe when a bang came from within. We both looked at each other and I decided to have a look. On getting out of bed a very tall man suddenly walked out dressed in very old style clothing, all in black, top hat, belt buckle and buckles on his shoes with the long socks up to his knees, I will never forget him! He turned his head and looked at us, he looked evil. After a few weeks, this man started appearing every night, following the same steps and always giving us an evil look. One night, h came out, done the usual thing, went downstairs as always. Within a few minutes we heard extremely loud banging coming from downstairs, it sounded as if someone was smashed the wall units up. I went down to investigate and nothing was happening, but the loud banging was still going on. I looked all over the house and found nothing. We left the house and stopped at my mothers fro the night. The next day, we sought the advice of a local vicar, who came to the house that very afternoon. He started blessing the house with holy water and prayers and we had to walk around with him and repeat Amen after him. We got to our wardrobe last, the vicar made the sign of a cross on the door frame and said the prayer. We repeated it, as soon as we said Amen we all heard a very loud evil whisper saying 'Amen, amen, amen'. We all went silent and looked at each other. The vicar then said, 'I must go, I have a meeting'. It still carried on and we moved a few weeks later.
